"Olympiads Of Kizomba is the place where to show your talent"

Laurent Yìshù, Founder

SELECTED COMPETITORS

Here are the only ways to qualify and go straight to the semi-finals:

  • Winners of partner competitions are qualified and go straight to the Olympiads in the Semi Finals.

  • Competitors who reached the podium in the previous year are invited, if they wish, to participate again in the competition by entering the semi-final directly.

Respect Of Style

How you fit the category style, expression and involvement.

Prove your talent and that you know what category you’ve stepped into.

TECHNIQUE

How precise you are in the execution of movements, posture, fluidity and complexity.

The Mastery of your movements will be decisive, don’t let stress take over …

musicality

How the music, tempo, accents and melodies are used in the passage.

No matter the category, the match to the music will always be important!

CREATIVITY

The way the competitors will surprise the jury with movements, style, surprises etc… CREATIVE! while staying in line with the corresponding category.

This criteria is new at this year’s Olympiads and is used to reward the dancers’ creativity. It will be just as important as technique and musicality.

Appreciation

The part where the judge can award 2 points or not according to his personal feelings.

This represents 10% of the total score and allows the judge to express his or her appreciation in this criteria rather than in the others, which must remain objective.
